It is a privilege to welcome you to the new website for the City Academy, Bristol. It is also a privilege to welcome you as the new Principal of the Academy.

 

Our state of the art facilities, opened in 2005 have provided an excellent learning environment in which young people can flourish and achieve. It has helped to set new standards for the Academy in the 21^st century, and since opening, they have risen year on year. This summer, the young people in yr 11 achieved 83% 5A*-C in GCSE examinations, the best results in the history of the school.  Proof that if you provide a stimulating environment and talented, professional staff, young people cannot fail to achieve.

 

A large part of the ethos of the City Academy is the connection with the local community. We are committed to working with all our community partners to ensure the sustained success of our learners, and help us equip them with the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for a 21^st century world. Whatever their intention, be it to  enter in to our Sixth Form, apply to University or to go in to employment, staff at the Academy are here to advise on the best path for them.
